The delivery-pack: OEM.

Complete set:

  • Drive in antistatic package.
  • Prospect reminding of taking the clamp out of the tray before usage (in 5 languages).

On the rear panel there is an air-exhausting fan.

There is a clamp in the tray which prevents the device from damage while delivering.

The roundish form of the drive makes it quite original.

The front panel hasn't changed: two indicators (On/Disc and Read/Write) working in two color modes - red and green, volume control, headphones jack, emergency ejection hole and neat, a little sunk, open button. The tray has a deeper hole than usual CD-ROM and other CD-RW drives have; it goes out fast, slowing to the end. The drive can be installed both in vertical and horizontal position.

It characterized by low noise and vibration level.

On Yamaha site we have found in the drive specifications that the record on 700 Mb CD is supported. There is also a digital output on the rear panel.
