This GPU is presented ASUS GeForce 7600GS 512MB GDDR2 Silent (550/950 MHz) PCI-Express.




Features:

  • NVIDIA GeForce 7600GS GPU, 550 MHz clock rate;
  • Pixel pipelines: 12
  • Vertex pipelines: 5
  • Texture processors: 12
  • ROPs: 8
  • 512MB GDDR2 in BGA chips. 475 (950) MHz clock rate.
  • 128-bit bus;
  • Peak fill rate in the multitexturing mode without optimizations is 6600 megapixels/sec and 6600 megatexels/sec.

By the end of the month the product costs about $140-170, supports DirectX 9.0c (SM3.0).

This novelty, which we tested for the first time early in April 2006, is meant for the middle-end ($130-150).

The card is rather successful and easily outperforms rivals in terms of performance and features.

On November 15, 2006 the latest drivers from NVIDIA were 96.89 beta (for 8800 series), 96.94 beta (for 8800 series), 97.02 beta (for 8800 series), 93.71 WHQL for Windows XP.
