Unreal Tournament 2003

The lightest mode (no AA or anisotropy): X800 XT wins, 450 MHz can't save NV40. Insufficient bandwidth plays an increasingly dramatic role for such card.

The heaviest mode (both AA and anisotropy): X800 XT wins easily, 450 MHz only narrowed the gap a little.

Thus:

  • NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra 450MHz vs. ATI RADEON X800 XT: the latter wins.
  • NVIDIA version 61.11 vs. 60.72: no differences.

Unreal II: The Awakening

The lightest mode (no AA or anisotropy): NV40 has a slim victory.

The heaviest mode (both AA and anisotropy): vice versa, X800 XT has a slim victory.

Thus:

  • NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra 450MHz vs. ATI RADEON X800 XT: a slim NV40 victory in the light mode and a loss in the heavy one. In total, a parity.
  • NVIDIA version 61.11 vs. 60.72: no differences.

RightMark 3D

The lightest mode (no AA or anisotropy): NV40 has a solid victory.

The heaviest mode (both AA and anisotropy): X800 XT wins in some places. On the whole, a parity (taking into account 450 MHz).

Thus:

  • NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra 450MHz vs. ATI RADEON X800 XT: a solid NV40 victory in the light mode and a parity in the heavy one.
  • NVIDIA version 61.11 vs. 60.72: virtually no differences.

TR:AoD, Paris5_4 DEMO

NV40 is defeated in all the modes, 450 MHz couldn't help it.

Thus:

  • NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra 450MHz vs. ATI RADEON X800 XT: the latter wins.
  • NVIDIA version 61.11 vs. 60.72 — an insignificant 3-percent speed gain in the pure mode and a colossal 40-percent increase in AA+AF.
