The easiest modes without AA and anisotropy: X700XT is victorious. Pay your attention that the enabled A.I. provided this card with good trumps. What is it? Optimizations for our test? :-) Or a search for less resource-consuming rendering methods? Optimization of the trilinear filtering only? - It is doubtful.

With enabled AA: the same picture.

With enabled anisotropy: the same picture here as well.

The final heaviest mode with AA and anisotropy: you may have already guessed that there is nothing to say.

Thus, on the whole:

  • RADEON X700XT versus RADEON 9800 PRO (ATHLON64 3400+) - victory
  • RADEON X700XT versus RADEON 9800 XT (ATHLON64 3400+) - victory
  • RADEON X700XT versus GeForce 6600GT - victory
  • RADEON X700XT versus GeForce 6800LE (ATHLON64 3400+) - victory
  • RADEON X700XT with the LOW OPTIMIZATION versus RADEON X700XT WITHOUT OPTIMIZATIONS - fair dividend
  • RADEON X700XT with the HIGH OPTIMIZATION versus RADEON X700XT WITHOUT OPTIMIZATIONS - the performance gain has reached 34 percents!

TR:AoD, Paris5_4 DEMO

The easiest modes without AA and anisotropy: a slight defeat, the main role is played here by the pure speed of shaders, which is a tad higher in 6600GT in the core frequency equivalent.

With enabled AA: wow... dead failure of X700XT! What is it? - Drivers? It must be drivers. Look, in this mode AA is not working in X700XT at 1600x1200. Though in other games it's OK.

With enabled anisotropy: approximate parity.

The final heaviest mode with AA and anisotropy: X700XT is defeated.

Thus, on the whole:

  • RADEON X700XT versus RADEON 9800 PRO (ATHLON64 3400+) - defeat
  • RADEON X700XT versus RADEON 9800 XT (ATHLON64 3400+) - the same results
  • RADEON X700XT versus GeForce 6600GT - defeat
  • RADEON X700XT versus GeForce 6800LE (ATHLON64 3400+) - defeat
  • RADEON X700XT with the LOW OPTIMIZATION versus RADEON X700XT WITHOUT OPTIMIZATIONS - little effect
  • RADEON X700XT with the HIGH OPTIMIZATION versus RADEON X700XT WITHOUT OPTIMIZATIONS - the same picture

Pay attention how much 6600GT outclasses its competitor due to the optimizations in this game, despite the fact, that according to NVIDIA specialists, they have long given up this game after the developers team fell apart.
