This is the first Plextor's combo drive. And it ships only in the Retail
version. The drive comes with a user manual, cables and screws, 2 blank
CD-R and CD-RW discs, and a CD with various programs. Here you can find
two popular technologies Burn-Proof (buffer underrun protection) and PowerRec-II
(for highest possible quality at the maximum speed). Besides, they promise
the highest audio track extraction speed with the respective quality. Moreover,
Plextor states that the black color of the tray reduces C1 errors and a
jitter level. The design is austere, with just few buttons but with good
indication.

Well, I think we should stop using the Nero CD-Speed utility as it gives
wrong data quite often. In this case it defines incorrectly some speeds
and the C2 error correction.
Nero InfoTool

The Plextor's drive is supplied with a utility which gives complete
information on the drive and allows adjusting some parameters of operation. |
