Cooling

Now what concerns the cooler. The cooling system is similar to that of RADEON HD 3870 (as the cooler of 4850 is similar to that on the 3850). Cooler base is adapted for the new layout of memory chips, and the heat sink is all-copper, so the card is heavier.

The operation principle is the same: a turbine drives air through the heat sink. There is a big advantage: hot air is blown out of enclosure and does not stay inside. While the cooler cooler occupies the neighboring slot as well, it is rather quiet.

Unfortunately, RivaTuner does not support the new RV770 family yet, so we don't have monitoring results.

Bundle

The basic bundle must include the following: user's manual, software CD, DVI-to-VGA adapter, CrossFire bridge, DVI-to-HMDI adapter, TV-out adapter, and external power splitters. Now let's see what other accessories are bundled with the card.

It's a basic bundle, except for the external power splitter. However, all modern PSUs offer 6-pin cables. The bundle has a bonus - a screwdriver with several tips and a flashlight.

A modest box with a stylized picture of an IceQ cooler. Though I don't know how this cooler is related to the given card. However, all components are arranged into plastic compartments, the card itself is secured in its cell.
