Graphics Test 1: Jane Nash

Let's analyze cards' performance in graphics tests separately. As the total score depends on FPS in game tests, we shall not repeat our previous conclusions. We'll dwell only on the differences between two graphics tests. Let's have a look at test results in the 1024x768 mode:

This situation is similar to what we have seen in the total score. We can note better performance of GeForce 9800 GTX versus the 8800 Ultra in the first graphics test and some advantage of NVIDIA cards over AMD ones in this very test. Let's have a look at the other resolutions:

This time the 8800 Ultra card shoots forward again, and AMD cards look even worse on the background of their competitors. Perhaps they will be a tad faster in the second test.

Nothing new here. But RADEON HD 3870 performs already on a par with GeForce 8800 GS, that's alarming. In return, the quad-GPU configuration with two HD 3870 X2 cards outperforms two GeForce 9800 GX2 cards... As the single card from AMD is slower, we can assume that Quad SLI is not optimized well in NVIDIA drivers. But it's a mystery why two HD 3870 X2 cards are more than twice as fast as the single card.

The situation in this mode is even more interesting, especially with multi-GPU configurations. We can explain the almost twofold performance gain in dual-GPU cards, but more than a twofold performance gain in Quad CrossFire versus the dual-GPU card is an evident mistake. However, NVIDIA Quad SLI does not work at all in this test with the resolution of 1920x1200! All the other conclusions hold true.
