Pomace Dryer

Pomace is the solid remains of grapes, apples, sugarcane, olives, or other fruit after pressing for juice or oil. It contains the skins, pulp, seeds, and stems of the fruit. Pomace contains inner water, it is difficult for traditional rotary dryers to fully dry them. Coking or undercooking happens all the time, the pomace lumps wet inside while burned outside. Due to long-time participation in the practice of pomace processing, we have designed a new type of internal structure for rotary dryers to make the drying process more effective in heat efficiency and more uniform in quality.

Main features:

1. High evaporation rate, the dryer could reduce the pomace moisture from 80% to 12% or less in one cycle. Dewatering machine is strongly recommended to reduce the moisture to 65% before drying to save energy and fuel cost.

2. Big processing capacity, 30 tons to 300 tons of fresh pomace per day for a single set of drying system.

3. Automatic chain-type combustion system for hot air supply, heat efficiency is up to 90% due to complete burning. The stove is suitable for varied coal or wood chips. Feed and discharge is automatic, easy for operation and low maintenance. Other types of heating source equipment is available according to customer’s demand.

4. Enhanced scatter devices inside the dryers, efficiently breaking up sticky lumps.

5. Variable-speed drive in order to adapt rotating speed to variation of input moisture and achieve optimum drying performance.

6. Thermocouples are installed to monitor temperature changes and safeguard operation.
