Chaintech Announces APOGEE Industrial 2.5-inch SATA2, 1.8-inch Micro SATA2 SSD, Industrial CF card and EDM series

Walton Chaintech announced its complete Industrial Storage collection of APOGEE industrial 2.5-inch SATA II, 1.8-inch Micro SATA II SSD in 16GB/32GB/64GB/128GB capacities with the maximum read speed of 120MB/sec. Besides, the APOGEE industrial 32MB-8GB CF card, 32MB-6GB EDM and industrial 128MB-8GB SD card have also been introduced. One of the most competitive features of APOGEE industrial storage products is their capability to work at temperatures from -40°C to 85°C. The APOGEE industrial product line encompasses a broad scope of industrial applications such as IPC, thin client, STB, VoIP, medical devices, POS, gaming station, PBX and various multimedia displays in public transportations.



The major characteristics of APOGEE industrial grade SSD is shock resistance, built-in Error Correction Code and top-grade SLC Nand Flash IC. It is also proven to have more than 2,000,000 hours of MTBF. Aside from 1.8-inch Micro SATA2 SSD, the 1.8-inch SATA2, 2.5-inch SATA2 and 2.5-inch IDE solutions are also available. Scythe Musashi VGA Cooler Available in Japan

Scythe Musashi SCVMS-1000 VGA cooler has arrived to the Japanese retail without an official announcement. It's interesting that the novelty is rated to support nearly any graphics card, except for GeForce GTX 200.



The cooler features an aluminium heatsink with fins of variable size, 4 x 6mm nickel-plated copper heatpipes and a couple of 100x12.5mm PWM-controlled fans (800-2000 rpm at 12.5-29.22 dBA).

Intel Releases Core 2 Quad Q8200, Core 2 Duo E5200 and Celeron D 450 Processors

According to expectations, Intel released three new desktop processors: Core 2 Quad Q8200, Core 2 Duo E5200 and Celeron D 450.

The 45nm Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 CPU has 2.33 GHz clock rate, 4 MB L2 cache, 1333 MHz FSB. In 1000-unit quantities it costs 224 USD.

The 45nm E5200 has 2.5 GHz clock rate, 2 MB L2 cache, 800 MHz FSB. In 1000-unit quantities it costs 84 USD.

Finally, the 65nm Celeron D 450 features 2.2 GHz clock rate, 512 KB L2 cache and 800 MHz FSB. In 1000-unit quantities it costs 53 USD.

Transcend Information introduced its new 64GB JetFlash V20 high-capacity USB flash drive. For added value, users can download and install Transcend's free JetFlash software pack onto the V20 flash drive to enable V20 to automatically log on to website accounts, temporarily lock the computer to prevent unauthorized access.
